About

A fast-absorbing booster that strengthens and smooths skin while plumping up wrinkles. Skin looks fresher and more radiant in just seven days
NART: 83509-07700-22

An anti-aging serum with 10% pure and freshly-activated Vitamin C for all skin types

The sun, pollution, smoking and other aspects of our lifestyles trigger the formation of free radicals. Free radicals cause oxidative stress to skin, accelerate premature skin aging and leave skin looking dull. Eucerin Hyaluron-Filler Vitamin C Booster with 10% pure and freshly-activated Vitamin C has been specially formulated to fight free radicals and address the first signs of aging: it strengthens skin, plumps up wrinkles and gives you a smoother, fresher and more radiant look. Vitamin C is a powerful anti-oxidant which neutralizes free radicals and strengthens skin’s own defense system. It is also essential to the production of collagen in skin cells, helping to support skin’s structure and delay signs of aging. Innovative packaging ensures that the pure Vitamin C is freshly-activated on first use. Simply press and shake to combine the Vitamin C powder into a serum of low molecular Hyaluronic Acid, and Licochalcone A. The formula is at its most effective for 21 days. Low molecular Hyaluronic Acid is an effective moisturizer that plumps up wrinkles in the epidermal (outermost) layers of skin. Another proven anti-oxidant, Licochalcone A, works alongside Vitamin C to neutralize the free radicals caused by UV and high-energy visible (HEVIS) light. Eucerin Hyaluron- Filler Vitamin C Booster is suitable for all skin types and is clinically and dermatologically proven to strengthen skin and plump up wrinkles. Skin is smoother, fresher and more radiant in just seven days and results improve over time.

  • Vitamin C

Vitamin C (also known as ascorbic acid and L-ascorbic acid although these are actually different forms of the vitamin) is an essential nutrient to our overall health and the health of our skin.

Vitamin C is key to collagen synthesis in skin cells. As one of skin’s natural filler substances, collagen gives young skin its firm structure and even appearance but degrades over time. Much of this degradation is caused by free radicals which damage the cells that produce collagen. Vitamin C is also a powerful anti-oxidant and helps to protect skin from free radical damage.

The human body cannot produce Vitamin C itself and so relies on external sources, the most common of which are dietary sources such as citrus fruits. Vitamin C is also an effective ingredient in skincare where it strengthens and ultimately protects the epidermis, keeping skin looking radiant and fresh. One of its forms, L-ascorbic acid, is more active and more widely researched and proven as a skincare ingredient than others. Eucerin uses L-ascorbic acid in Eucerin Hyaluron-Filler Vitamin C Booster. Another form of Vitamin C, Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate, is more suitable for a lip care product and is used in Eucerin Aquaphor SOS Lip Repair.

  • Hyaluronic Acid

Hyaluronic Acid is formed by skin cells and is part of the connective tissue of the skin. One of its key functions is to retain moisture, and it has the ability to bind in between 1,000 and 10,000 times its own weight in water (i.e. one gram binds between one and ten liters). As we age, the skin's natural ability to produce Hyaluronic Acid depletes and wrinkles start to form and deepen.

  • Licochalcone A

Licochalcone A is a powerful antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and skin-soothing ingredient. It is derived from the root of the Chinese Licorice plant (Glycyrrhiza Inflata) which uses natural compounds to protect its cells from excessive sunlight. When used in skincare products, Licochalcone A works to reduce inflammation and neutralize free radicals that negatively influence skin cells and accelerate the aging process. It helps to protect the deeper epidermal skin layers from sun-induced effects.

FAQ

What are free radicals and why are they bad for my skin?

Free radicals are highly reactive oxygen molecules and are also known as ROS – Reactive Oxygen Species. They are triggered by external factors such as the sun, the environment and our diet and lifestyle choices.

The body uses anti-oxidants to neutralize these potentially harmful free radicals. When there is an imbalance between the production of free radicals and the body’s ability to neutralize them the free radicals start to damage cells in a process known as oxidative stress. While aging is an entirely natural process, oxidative stress can cause skin to age prematurely: it may start to sag and develop wrinkles before its time and dull and tired.

You can find out more in our article free radicals: what are they and how do they affect skin? You can read more about the different stage of aging in our dedicated articles: fine lines and wrinkles, a loss of volume and facial contours and a loss of elasticity and deep wrinkles.

What makes Eucerin Hyaluron-Filler Vitamin C Booster so effective?

Vitamin C is known to be a powerful anti-oxidant and is key to the synthesis of collagen in skin cells. There are four main factors that make Eucerin’s Hyaluron-Filler Vitamin C Booster so effective:

  • 10% Pure Vitamin C: Our formula contains 200x the concentrated Vitamin C of an orange2. Research has shown that, to make a difference to skin cells, a product needs to contain at least 8% Vitamin C. Formulations over 20% do not increase in effectiveness and may also cause some irritation3. Eucerin uses a concentration of Vitamin C proven to deliver results while being well tolerated by skin4.
  • Freshly-activated: Pure Vitamin C naturally degrades when exposed to oxygen so it is at its most effective when it’s freshly-activated. Our innovative packaging releases the Vitamin C powder at the push of a button. Shake it, and the powder blends with the emulsion. The Vitamin C is activated and unfolds its power instantly. Use within 21 days of activating to ensure the booster is at its most effective.
  • The total formula: The formula also includes low molecular Hyaluronic Acid (skin’s own moisturizer which helps to plump up wrinkles) and Licochalcone A (which strengthens the anti-oxidative effect of the Vitamin C).
  • Applied directly where it’s needed: The unique combination of ingredients in Eucerin Hyaluron-Filler Vitamin C Booster means it can be easily absorbed by the skin, so you can be sure you’re applying Vitamin C right where it’s needed.

At what age should I start using Eucerin Hyaluron-Filler Vitamin C Booster?

You can use the booster at any age. Genetics, lifestyle and environment all affect how and when our skin starts to age, but many of us experience the first signs of skin aging in our 20s: fine lines and wrinkles start to appear and skin can look dull and tired. All skin is subjected to oxidative stress so the sooner you start caring for it the better. Regular cleansing, sun protection, moisturization and the use of powerful, proven anti-oxidants such as Vitamin C will help you to keep your skin healthy and prevent premature skin aging.

Eucerin Hyaluron-Filler Vitamin C Booster is clinically and dermatologically proven to strengthen and smooth skin and plump up wrinkles for a fresher and more radiant look in just seven days. It’s an ideal boost for dull-looking skin and helps to reduce the first signs of skin aging.

Is Eucerin Hyaluron-Filler Vitamin C Booster suitable for sensitive skin?

Yes. The serum is suitable for all skin types, including sensitive skin. It is clinically and dermatologically proven to be both effective on and well tolerated by sensitive skin. Vitamin C can make skin more sensitive to the sun. For this reason, we recommend that you follow the booster with high factor sun protection for a week after use. Eucerin Hyaluron-Filler Day SPF 30 is an anti-aging day cream that offers both UV (SPF 30) and UVA protection and is ideal for daily use. The Eucerin sun protection range also includes a selection of SPF 50 products suitable for different skin types and needs.

What is the difference between the Eucerin Hyaluron-Filler Vitamin C Booster and Eucerin Hyaluron-Filler Concentrate?

Eucerin Hyaluron-Filler Concentrate is an intensive anti-wrinkle serum. It contains both high and low molecular Hyaluronic Acid and Glycine Saponin and has been specially formulated to enhance the moisturizing and wrinkle-filling benefits of the Day and Night products in the range.

Eucerin Hyaluron-Filler Vitamin C Booster harnesses the anti-oxidant and collagen--boosting benefits of 10% pure and freshly-activated Vitamin C. It also contains low molecular Hyaluronic Acid and is clinically and dermatologically proven to strengthen skin, plump wrinkles and give it a smoother, fresher and more radiant appearance in just seven days with results improving over time. It can be used as a stand-alone booster to combat the first signs of aging although we recommend that it is used in combination with a Eucerin Hyaluron-Filler day cream such as: Eucerin Hyaluron-Filler Day SPF 15, Eucerin Hyaluron-Filler Day SPF 30, Eucerin Hyaluron-Filler CC Cream SPF 15 Light or Eucerin Hyaluron-Filler CC Cream SPF 15 Medium.

If you prefer to use the product at night we recommend you use it in combination with Eucerin Hyaluron-Filler Night.

Both the booster and the concentrate can be used daily.
